About us

Helping Canadian kids reach their full potential

As the world becomes more complex, the most vulnerable kids often risk being left behind. We are committed to helping build a brighter future for kids through our support of technology, health and educational programs.

Funding friendlier futures

We fund programs, services and technology for registered Canadian charities helping communities, particularly youth, who need it most. Founded in 2018, we are an independent, self-administered charitable organization with our own board of directors. Our mission is to help give vulnerable kids a friendlier future in a challenging world by empowering youth in-need through enhanced access to technology, health and educational programs.

Thanks to the generosity of TELUS, our Founding Donor, all administrative expenses incurred by the Foundation are covered. 100% of donations go directly to registered Canadian charitable organizations.

Grassroots support

The TELUS Friendly Future Foundation gives financial grants to grassroots charities across Canada. Charities can apply online with funding requests to help vulnerable Canadians get access to technology and education opportunities, programs and resources.

Our funding priorities include:

Supporting access to digital connectivity and educational programming for youth

Building healthier communities through social inclusion

Providing immediate care to communities needing critical disaster relief

Get funded

Local charities can apply to one of 13 TELUS Community Boards across Canada, which award one-time regional grants of up to $20,000 toward addressing existing or emerging issues faced by our most vulnerable populations, especially at-risk youth.

The Friendly Future Foundation is now accepting applications from Canadian charities for grants of up to $100,000 that have a national or provincial scope. If your organization has a project that will make a tangible social impact on Canada’s most vulnerable populations, please come back and visit in January and consider applying.
