Sophie Reis (Chair)

Sophie Reis has more than 20 years of experience in brand management, strategic alliances, public relations, advertising and business development for major brands both on the client side and in agencies.

After working some 12 years in the high-performance telecommunications sector, her spirit of innovation inspired her to take the plunge and put her expertise at the service of local entrepreneurs and organizations. In 2016, she co-founded a non-profit organization that specializes in crowdfunding, La Ruche Montreal which has since become an economic development tool recognized by the Government du Quebec and major private partners.

In 2016, Sophie created the first Quebec reference site for traveling parents, bbjetlag.com. Her book Le Guide des parents voyageurs : s'inspirer, s'informer, s'équiper - 0 à 12 ans (Trécarré, 2018 – republished 2024) became a bestseller in Canada and Europe. After overcoming breast cancer, mobilizing more than 100 doctors, researchers and specialists, she launched her book Un cancer en cadeau : apprendre, comprendre et s'outiller pour agir (Trécarré, 2023) which has become the most complete reference guide to understand and take part in the action.
