TELUS Friendly Future Foundation® is an independent registered charity dedicated to funding health and education focused charitable programs for youth in communities across Canada through the funding streams below.
Canadian registered charities and qualified donees are invited to apply for a TELUS Canadian Community Board grant.

Canadian Community Boards

Canadian registered charities and qualified donees are invited to apply for grants that support local, grassroots community-based health and education programs that help youth reach their full potential.
  • Single year funding
  • Up to $20,000 per year, except for Barrie and Central Ontario, which is up to $10,000
  • Maximum one application per calendar year to each Community Board region

Who can apply

  • A Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) registered charity or qualified donee
  • Must not have received funding from the TELUS Community Board you’re applying to in the last 12 months
Your program must:
  • Support youth up to age 29 in Canada experiencing obstacles to reaching their full potential
  • Focus on health or education
  • Be delivered in one of the following regions:
  • Atlantic Canada
  • Quebec: Rimouski, Quebec City, Montreal
  • Ontario: Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, Barrie and Central Ontario
  • Manitoba and Saskatchewan
  • Alberta: Calgary and Southern Alberta, Edmonton and Northern Alberta
  • British Columbia: Interior and Northern B.C., Vancouver and Coastal, Vancouver Island

Innovation Grants

In 2022, the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation launched multi-year Innovation Grants for Canadian registered charities and qualified donees. These grants helped address some of the most pressing issues facing youth in Canada.
As we shift our focus to
supporting students facing financial barriers
with their pursuit of post-secondary education, we are proud to announce that from 2022 to 2024, we awarded over $4.2 million in Innovation Grants to 26 youth-focused charities across the country.
